Sapna Sehravat from Markham, Ontario, was crowned as Miss India Worldwide Canada 2006 on June 24th by the former MIWC, Ms.
Nital Gosai, who had gracefully completed her wonderful year as the titleholder. Sapna, shocked and overwhelmed was sashed
by the Guest of Honour, His Worship, Mayor Michael Di Biase of Vaughan and Mr. Steve Gupta of Easton's Group of Hotels. With
Sapna, the top five included, Dimple Sharma of Montreal, first runner-up and Miss Photogenic, Tricia Gilhooly of Toronto,
second-runner-up, and Anisha Anand and Neha Mohan, both from British Columbia. Sapna also received Miss Best Talent and Miss
Best Skin, not to be topped off with her new Rogers cellular, Sacha Cosmetics, Unilever's multi-products gift basket, Fruits
and Passion products, and many more! Not to mention the creme de la creme of prizes, Sapna will now go on to compete and represent
Canada in the world finals of Miss India Worldwide!
Suriname's Fareisa Joemmanbaks has been crowned Miss India Worldwide 2007. The First Runner-Up
was Nadia Vorajee from South Africa and the Second Runner-Up was Sapna Sehravat from Canada. Completing the
top five were Movina Nagarajan, representing India, and Snehali Naik from the United Kingdom
Completing the top ten were: Kiara Podesta (Australia), Ayushka Singh-Gharib (USA), Celina Kalfane
(Netherlands), Reneetha Veeraya (Malaysia) and Ashita Ghote (UAE). Canada bagged the Talent award, Singapore the Beautiful
Smile title, Morocoo Beautiful Eyes, Malaysia Beautiful Hair, Fiji Beautiful and South Africa both Photogenic & Congeniality
